1. Account Data

When you log in via Steam OpenID, we automatically collect and store the following from your Steam profile:

• Steam ID — unique account identifier
• Display name — shown on the leaderboard if your profile is public
• Avatar URL — shown on the leaderboard if your profile is public
• Profile URL — link to your Steam profile if public
• Account created date — generated at first login for portfolio history
• Last login date — updated each login for internal analytics

2. Inventory Data

When you view your inventory, we fetch and store items from Steam's public inventory API. Only S&Box (app 590830) items are stored. Data is synced each time you load the inventory page, not continuously.

• Asset ID, Class ID, Instance ID — uniquely identify each item
• Market hash name — match items to market prices
• Quantity — portfolio value calculation
• First seen date — portfolio history over time
• Last seen date — track when inventory was last refreshed
• Removed date — set when an item is no longer in your inventory, to preserve portfolio history

3. User Settings

Your public profile toggle (off by default) controls whether your inventory and portfolio are visible to others and whether your name appears on the leaderboard.

4. Session Data

Temporary data is stored in Redis and automatically deleted after expiry:

• Cached inventory — expires after 15 minutes
• Cached portfolio history — expires after 1 hour
• Cached public profile — expires after 15 min to 1 hour

5. Analytics

We use Umami Cloud, a privacy-focused analytics service, to collect anonymous usage statistics such as page views and visit counts. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track users across websites. All data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individual users.

6. What We Do NOT Collect

• No email address
• No password (Steam handles authentication)
• No IP addresses stored in our database
• No tracking cookies (analytics are cookie-free via Umami)
• No data from other Steam games — only S&Box items
• No purchase history or transaction data from Steam

How Your Data Is Used

• Portfolio tracking — your inventory is matched against Steam Market prices to show current value and value over time
• Leaderboard — if you opt in to a public profile, your display name, avatar, and portfolio value appear on the public leaderboard. Private users appear as "Anonymous"
• Public profile — if enabled, other users can view your inventory and portfolio history via your Steam ID. Disabled by default
• Price enrichment — item names from your inventory are matched to our market price database to calculate values

Data Retention & Deletion

• Account and inventory data persist as long as the account exists
• Removed items are soft-deleted (marked with a removal date) to preserve portfolio history
• Cache data auto-expires (15 min to 1 hour)
• Sessions expire after 30 days of inactivity

By accessing or using SboxCharts ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SboxCharts tracks Steam Community Market prices for S&Box items (developed by Facepunch Studios) and provides portfolio tracking for users who log in via Steam. The Service is provided "as is" and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve Corporation or Facepunch Studios.

3. Steam Authentication

The Service uses Steam OpenID for authentication. We do not receive or store your Steam password. By logging in, you authorize us to access your public Steam profile information and public inventory data as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Accuracy of Data

Market prices and portfolio values are estimates based on data from the Steam Community Market. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any pricing data. Do not rely on this Service for financial decisions.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise programmatically access the Service without permission
• Attempt to disrupt or overload the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others

6. Intellectual Property

Steam, S&Box, and related trademarks belong to their respective owners. S&Box is developed by Facepunch Studios. Item images and names are sourced from Steam and are the property of Valve Corporation and Facepunch Studios. The SboxCharts name and site design are owned by Stony Softworks LLC.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Stony Softworks LLC shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to losses from trading decisions made based on data shown on this site.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
